The Stained Glass Garden wanted to present their glass services and products with a light, colorful and more focused redesign. The project called for a new web site concept for look and feel, graphic design, photography, XHTML page coding and CSS style controls to the project.

  • Defining the Problem
The site's old navigation and design were in need of an overhaul. The company just completed work on a new logo and they wanted to use it to inspired future design work. The site also needed more organization in order to help drive traffic to their retail location.
  • Defining the Audience
Art teachers, students, interior designers and glass affictionados. All visitors look to the Stained Glass Garden for inspiration and information.
  • Exploring Creative Solutions
The new site's playful color scheme balances it's logical navigation. The new logo is set apart with photos and content set off by the light background. To educate visitors, a "featured artists" section was created, bringing them closer to the artists studio. The new navigation system with highlighting cues helps visitors quickly orient themselves.
