Meadowsweet-Dairy
Meadowsweet Dairy sought to boost their online image with a more user-friendly web site. They also needed easy-to-update templates for internal maintenance. Scope 3 Design constructed the site concept, built mock-ups in photoshop, restructured content from the previous site, and developed templates in Dreamweaver. Scope 3 Design also tied the Internet world to the Meadowsweet Dairy office by configuring the hosting and email accounts and provided web site maintenance training.
- Defining the Problem
An old web site was not fitting the growing needs for these environmental artists. A new portfolio gallery was needed to show off studio pieces and site works of the artists. More content structure was needed within an overall light and playful look to serve their interested audiences.
For site maintenance, the artists needed page templates which could allow them to easily drop in text and images to create new portfolio pages and upload them to the site.
- Defining the Audience
The melding of topics such as art and the environment attracts journalists, artists and prospective clients to the web site. Most visitors to the site appreciate environmental awareness and are exited to encounter a group with similar passions.
- Exploring Creative Solutions
Based on shared values of the audience and the Meadowsweet Dairy a theme of natural colors with some bright accents was introduced to surround the artists' work. Since the art works to help bring a sense of spiritual clarity, the web site design took a "less is more" approach to uncomplicate the user experience.
Content was restructured to focus on individual audiences. One section became dedicated to journalists, and press. Another portion became devoted to explaining work involved with indiviual pieces, and yet another section of the site delved into the artists' mission and philosophy.
